I'm using a Ubiquiti Udm-Pro for DHCP, a PiHole for DNS, and nginx for reverse proxy to all my servers including ns8 which has it's own VM on Proxmox.
Lets encrypt wild card cert for my domain through nginx working both locally and from the Internet for WebTop and nextcloud.
I added WebTop to my android phone as an exchange account and it says it is syncing email, contacts, and calendars. I can receive emails on my phone but not send. My phone says there is a webtop calendar on it but it desn’t sync. My understanding is webtop uses Z-push but it’s not clear to me if it is only for receiving or sending as well. Do I need imap for sending emails through NS8 from an android phone?
I had sogo on ns7 for years without issue, should I switch to that or round cube?
Today, I received 36 emails in a row from a flapping unrelated network, and I was able to delete all of them from my phone. Nevertheless, I can't send an email from my phone.
My phone is obviously syncing email… but only partially. If others aren’t seeing this issue, then it must be something specific to my setup.
If someone could point me towards some relevant log files, that would be much appreciated.
Still can’t get this to work. Z-push is supposed to sync email but if I go to: https://192.168.1.228/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync I get page not found. According to z-push website this should show a login dialog.
AFAIK, for WebTop you can use sync for calendars and adressbooks, but NOT for mail.
For mail to work, just use imap and smtp.
AFAIK, the same is valid for SoGo too.
See here:
I use just IMAP and SMTP and NextCloud for calendars and adressbooks (CalDAV & CrdDAV), this works without issues. For me and all my clients (Well over 100 users all in all!).
No sync!
