Hi ,I just got a matched pair of older Opteron 880 processors (2.4 gHz per core ) and an Asus k8-ndl board . They dont have much in the way of virtualization support built in but I was wondering if I could still run nethserver on it . I have 4gb of ecc memory per processor .Any suggestions ? 
as long as your HW can run Centos6 (for NS6) or Centos7 (for NS7), I see no problems
