NS8 Webtop - Email Compose missing text editing buttons

Hello @support_team and @webtop_team and @lucag ,

We are using NS8 with the latest Webtop installed. We’ve discovered just this week that when creating a new email the bar to allow us to change the font, add buttons, etc to the email text is now missing on the Webtop Email Compose. Here are some screenshots:

When on NS7 Webtop Compose looked like this:

Now on NS8 our Webtop Email Compose is missing this bar I’ve hilted in Red.

Has anyone else experienced this on Webtop on NS8? I’ve confirmed this is occurring on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge for all our staff. I’m unsure now when we first upgraded to NS8 two weeks back if that bar was there or not.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide me on how to solve this.

I can’t reproduce but you seem to use an old theme.
Does it work using the default theme?

Did you enable HTML text in the mail settings?

Hello @mrmarkuz ,

Yep, you found the problem! I had been using plain text instead of HTML text. The problem is resolved now.

As for the theme…I was told that people who upgrade will have the older themes available (new installs are stuck with the one Nethesis theme). While I appreciate the Webtop Team’s decision to make the one theme, myself and my staff can’t bear the absence of colour on the bars and the text just seems washed out and hard to read. I really miss the rich blue colours of Webtop on NS7.
