Ns8-mail not recieving emails

NethServer Version: NS8
Module: ns8-mail

I can send emails out. But I can not receive emails. I have checked my firewall /router and ns8-mail settings. I believe I have correct settings for DNS and email ports on firewall / router. I have checked ns8-mail and thing look good there. I have checked mxtoolbox.com and viewdns.info - all looks good.

I have read through and checked all my settings. I have also look over the following -

https://docs.nethserver.org/projects/ns8/en/latest/mail.html

https://wiki.nethserver.org/doku.php?id=email_protection_resources

Here are how things are going on the server

Any idea what might be the issue?

Jeff

How can you tell?

Because I can send from my server to other emails addresses. Then, when I send back to the server via the external emails, it sends the email, but never arrives in Webtop. I can send emails local via Webtop from one email address to another. I also get emails from NS8 server notification as well via email.

Unfortunately, I can not get a reply from https://www.mail-tester.com/ when I use it to test externally as well.

Hope the above explain answers your question

Checking the logs of mail1, webtop and node1 comes to mind as well as checking if your domain is not blacklisted. Obviously you have checked the spamm box.

Did you try to ping your server from outside your local network, both on external IP as well as domain name?

I am assuming that you are meaning through external means like the following -

http://www.anti-abuse.org/multi-rbl-check/

Yes, I have check and it looks like all is good. Not blacklisted on any major lists.

Earlier on, this was not the case. But interestingly, you’re on to something. I must have sometime recently made a change to OPNSense that has stopped pinging to my public IP.

Much appreciated. I will post my findings.

Thanks for the thought process. I will check into this closer to see what has happened.

Quick and short. I am still working out the Public IP ping. (still not pinging). But I was able to allow sending and receiving emails by properly setting up the Rules in OPNSense.

I am now recieving and sending emails.

Thanks LayLow for you help  It led me to my answer of sending and recieve.

All tho I am still working on the Public IP pinging tho.
