since update of ios to 18 we got an error
Apple’s email client now refuses to honor the self signed certificate I use for my IMAP server with the error ‘Unable to create a secure connection to the server (“bad certificate format” -9,808).’
the server is local server with self generated certificate
is it possible to disable SSL connection on port 143
in dovecot.conf : ssl = yes instead of required
this would allow insecure POP3/IMAP connections

I assume you’re using NethServer 8.

IMHO, it’s not worth it. Apple iOS will refuse self signed Certs after every update…
Use Lets Encrypt (free) and get rid of the issue AND have better security!
