Did you choose the WAN interface? Because there’s not a private IP address…
They are public IP addresses.
They are generated from the choosen network interface. Perhaps you are using it on a VPS?
If your server has multiple interfaces it could perfectly be the case Markus says.

Sorry for the noise!
So I forgot my own little ‘dummy network’ trick So I created a dummy interface on my 1 node cluster and it is getting me somewhere

It’s worth mentioning that the installed module is just for local area networks (LANs); Dnsmasq isn’t intended for cloud environments.

Why dummy interface?
Because my VPS (Contabo hosted) has only 1 ethernet interface .
