Installed the upgrade tool from software center, configured bridge and now it is asking me to upgrade the existing Active directory (which is not in my server, am using LDAP). Any how proceeded to the next steps. After sometime got the following error…

BTW: upgrading to AD is mandatory if you have Samba shared folders with user authentication in ns6.
This seems from the backup-data procedure. You’d check it is configured correctly or disable it temporarily. More information can be found in /var/log/messages.
Please attach more information from /var/log/messages to understand the issue
