It appears that Apache is rewriting the address for Nextcloud.
This forces connections directed to it from my reverse proxy to change the web address to a local IP which destroys external access. I need a method to kill that rewrite and have a flat IP address and folder to access nextcloud through.
No, that is actually what I have been doing. I point it straight to the SSL address, but I still get a rewritten address to the Local IP address instead of keeping the Domain name the Proxy is listening too.
On a side note, it rewrites it wrong when going through the proxy to have https://(IPaddress)/nextcloud$1 and I have to take the $1 off the address to get to the site.
I missed that completely and it didn’t even cross my mind that would be a factor from Nextcloud’s perspective. Good catch and thank you. I will give this a try.
Sorry, it has been a busy part of the year with the holidays coming up. I haven’t given this a try yet, but I have high expectations that it will. I seems to fit perfectly. I will try to get this together this weekend.
