I’ve tried to se the high performance backend, but it’s not very friendly for multi arch containers.
Regarding the talk backend, I’ve never used nor tried. But if someone wants to try implementing it on ns8, we can provide help 
though i know a significant amount of work has already been done on nextcloud for NS8.
I am curious, is the deployment Docker based?
if the deployment is docker based, cant we re-compile a modified version of Nextcloud ALL in one, since it already packages these things, remove componets we dont require from it, and make use of componets available within NS8.

It’s podman based, but it’s almost the same.
Yes we could, but usually it’s better to use upstream images which are updated on regular basis.
