Nextcloud 14 is just in testing !

If you want to help us with the testing, you can also start from a NethServer virtualbox machine already created using vagrant.

To start from a clean NethServer 7.5.1804 machine, you can execute:

One thing I’ve noticed in (very brief) playing with it under FreeBSD is that occ complains if memory_limit is set to less than 512 MB.

Again for what is it worth : update worked on armhfp (32 bit)

See this on the RPI (arm), does it occur on a nethserver x86_64 too?

Sorry, I don’t use virtualbox anymore.
I’ve set up a test VM with NC 13.0.6 joined to my AD. So as soon as you have something in testing-repo I’ll be able to help.

Update to MC 14 works fine. Onlyoffice still works (selfsigned certs).

2 Warnings:

Not NS related, but some apps don’t work in NC14 after update.
In my case: draw.io and quick notes.
And Gpxpod must be updated manually.
So I revert back to NC 13.

Both of them are managed by the upgrade process.
Can you check your messages for some warning/errors ?

If you try again, you can also execute signal-event nethserver-nextcloud-update if the problem still be present

I already did a rollback to previous snpshot.
But I can do the update again and look, if it happens again.
Will give feedback later.

Did the update again, but with no success:

When I ry to access NC I see this:

Hi,

I have the same problem as flatspin (internal server error and so on) ; the upgrade from nextcloud 13 to nextcloud 14 broke it.
httpd and slapd are up, i use the latest Nethserver version. The other services installed on my server (mail, SOGo and so on) work fine.
The logs don’t give me a clue of what is happening : /var/lib/nethserver/nextcloud/nextcloud.log
It sounds like this bug report : Nextcloud 13 - Call for QA! but i can’t log in as administrator.

Any idea ? Thanks.

Please report the real error, otherwise we can’t give any help.

Hi stephane,

can you please try this:

login with admin and standardpassword: Nethesis,1234
go to settings in NC (right upper corner)
then to LDAP/AD Integration
In my case the Config showed red “config not o.k.”
(In this case: when you try to go to Users in admin menu you 'll get the internel server error, also when you try to login with a user from AD.)
I pressed the detect-port-button (right next to the port)
Then the config suddenly changed to green “config o.k.”

Now my NC 14.0.1 seems to work.

I can see the users in admin panel and login with AD-users.

Hi flatspin,

I solved the problem too, but it wasn’t a LDAP/AD error.

Usually, i upgrade nextcloud using either Firefox or Chromium ; in both cases, i got the same error as you. After uninstalling and reinstalling ‘nethserver-nextcloud’ and ‘nextcloud’, i tried to upgrade using Midori browser which changed everything : then, nextcloud got in maintenance mode. I disabled the maintenance mode using : sudo -u apache /opt/rh/rh-php71/root/usr/bin/php /usr/share/nextcloud/occ maintenance:mode --off
At that point, i changed my point of view and decided to upgrade using the cli interface. So a new uninstall/reinstall later, i tried : sudo -u apache /opt/rh/rh-php71/root/usr/bin/php /usr/share/nextcloud/occ upgrade and it worked

Nextcloud 14 is up and running.
