NethServer Version: 7.9
I would like to install Nethserver 7.9 on a Fujitsu Thin Client with 4GB Ram and two mSATA 512GB Disks (Raid 1).
Is there something special I have to be careful about… Any suggestions?

Hi @fausp
Do you plan any “real” use for this hardware, or is this more a “fun” project?
As the CPU is underrated, having the CPU use up cycles to mirror disks won’t make it faster, using HDs instead of SSDs doesn’t improve the outlook.
Using AD will work, but you’ll probably wait 2-3 minutes before Windows Explorer actually changes the view.
… You might fall asleep while installing!
My 2 cents

Will see
I just would like to run dolibarr on it and maybe fileservices…
I’m personally looking at two of these:

I just set up one at a clients to run as PBS. The two (powerful) Lenovo Proxmox servers (Both with 16-24 cores, 128 GB RAM and local ZFS ssd-based storage) use it a.main PBS. It’s fast, i was VERY impressed with the IO.
I’m planning on a Type 7 case for PVE, and a Type 5 for PBS…
Both are very quiet, 2x2.5 GB/S networking (or 6x, if needed!) are nice, but the other specs are also quite decent. This box uses very little power, and does not heat up!
400-500€ for a fairly decent Home Proxmox / PBS, not a bad price!
Replacing all 4 of my servers might save me from getting an aircon next year!

The Futro S720 Server with two 512GB disks (mSATA) costs abt 75 Euro. AD and Dolibarr is installed, lets see how it works…
Hello,
I have a Fujitsu Futro S550-2 Thin Client (AMD Sempron 200U, 1 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 2NIC). Running as a small firewall, with ThreatShield. Non much faster, but never stopped. Never.
This is the main purpose for me too, I tested it with OPNsense and IPFire…
How many NICs does the S550-2 have by default?
Only one, but you can add a PCI nic card (if you have the riser) and an industrial grade CF or Usb disk to boot os.
I used a dual-NIC and this card worked for me…
Dual Chipset Realtek RTL8111
A mini PCIe slot was a dream in that box…
i found a cheap gigabit on PCI card. Embrassing througput for a modern firewall, but a funny-working box. I dont know how can still work with OS installed on an USB-sata adapter…
