Hello,

could be possibile, during configuration restore (After backup file upload) change nics assignment before apply restore?

This can be useful when i change hardware.

An example:

A firewall has hardware failure.

Place a new appliance (another hardware), install clean Nethsec, load configuration, assign nics correctly and reboot. Back in production asap.

Hello Andrea,

I know the scenario and it’s quite common, but current OpenWrt implementation does not allow such change during the restore.

You need first to restore a new machine, then reconfigure the network interfaces.
