Thinking loudly, I would be interested to add ncat to the network tool
a quick command line, probably it could be enhanced (cc @filippo_carletti)
nc -v -z -w 5 IP port
add -u if it is UDP port

I would love this feature. I can’t tell you how many times I use those very same tools for troubleshooting but I drop down to terminal to do it.
May I suggest an alternative solution?
Go to the Terminal page and type the command
