Mailbox almost full but isn't true

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to you because of a strange issue with my NethServer 7.9 installation.

The disk has a 100GB capacity and is currently only at 26% usage. I haven’t set any quotas or folder size limits, yet Thunderbird (configured via IMAP) is reporting that one of the mailboxes is running out of space.

The strange thing is that when I click on the status bar indicating the lack of space, the pop-up panel says: “This server does not support quotas.”

In your opinion, is this behavior caused by Thunderbird misinterpreting the data, or is NethServer communicating incorrect values? Also, does anyone know what might happen if that “phantom” limit reaches 100%?

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks a lot, NicoB

Well… your have a bigger task at hand. Maybe time to make up a plan to upgrade instead of fixing?

I suspect it’s a Thunderbird issue. Did you already try to reconfigure Thunderbird?

Hi

Both ideas are valid.

I tried a fresh install of TB and it doesn’t seem to give the same warning.

I’ve been thinking about upgrading to version 8, and it’s not a bad idea. I’ve put it on my to-do list.

Thanks
