We’re pleased to announce that after close collaboration between @stephdl and myself, the application is now considered stable and ready for production use—or at minimum, release candidate evaluation.
To support ongoing development and distribution, I’ve established my own repository, which is now publicly available at:
https://forge.ksatdesign.com.au/ns8/updates/
We welcome testing, feedback, and contributions as we continue refining the release.
Nice one Shane, This should make my efforts to Migrate to NS8 alot more easer, I hope.
Just deploy new NS8 Instance, migrate Ldap users, install new LLNG instance, Clone / copy previous configs, Adjust the parameters in all apps using it. then i am on NS8.
repeat the migration for All other Apps while pointing to new NS8 LLNG.
Correct they don’t need to be seperate the only seperate certificate is the one for signing (i.e.,SAML) as it is best to have a non changing one as you would have to update the metadata on both lemonldap and saml compatible app every time certificate changes
So Interestingly, tonight, i was working on migrating my NS8(mail+nextcloud) server from NS7 to NS8, with the help of @mrmarkuz. its connected to a remote AD7Server with LLNG. To my surpirse, the NS7 software centre prompted me for an Update for LLNG,
I then Remembered the Amount of Efforts it took to get LLNG into NS8, and i had to check the implementation in NS8. I hope their docker improvements, still Allow Our version to work even better, in the new version when its Updated
So @Shane_Treweekbefore Updating, please be sure to check what these simplification improvements are, and whether they break things in NS8 when you update the docker container image for LLNG in NS8
