LAM - Cannot set password

Hi all,

I have installed LDAP Account Manager (LAM) app to modify LDAP properties of users. I am running a current NS8 and use the internal LDAP account provider.
The setup is working fine so far, with one exception: When I try to change a users password in LAM, I get the following error:
grafik

This happens even when I disable password complexity checks in the LDAP account provider settings in NS8:

Any ideas how to solve this?

Thank you!

It seems the password is rejected from openldap because “pwdCheckQuality” is set to “2”, see also OpenLDAP password policy pwdCheckModule or OpenLDAP Software 2.5 Administrator's Guide: Overlays

To change it just access the password policy in LAM via “Tools/Treeview” and select the “default PPolicy” and edit “pwdCheckQuality”.

I’d set it to 1 as 0 disables the check completely but maybe the check doesn’t work at all…need to check that later.
After saving it should be possible to change the password.
