Join Cluster on ESXI

Hello. On the site you can download VMDK image. But immediately on ESXI it cannot be loaded. There you need to download OVF and VMDK files! Therefore, I created one general image on the VMware Workstation. After I converted it to the OVF file. Then I installed Node 1. There is no problem.
However, after I created the second car on the ESXI from the VMware Workstation image. And when attached to the cluster, I get the following mistake:
<3> Add_node error: <4> the public key x7kdkzglcjvca0rozlplpgacoqljtr9qhunzg6ew = is already used by node 1

I thought. Most likely, a public key is created at the time of the first launch of the car or once again. And changing it as I understand it is not possible. Since I did everything from one image, I received two cars with one key. Which causes a mistake.

AFAIK you need to create a VM and configure use the vmdk file as virtual disk, see also How to Import VMDK to ESXi, XenServer and Other Platforms? | Vinchin Backup

I assume it’s about the wireguard public key, it can be edited in /etc/wireguard/wg0.conf.

Restart the wireguard connection to apply the changes:

systemctl restart wg-quick@wg0
