IMAP backup strategy

Hi all,

I’m quite new to Nethserver. I’m configuring a mail server for backup purposes for a customer with 25 mailboxes. I managed to sync their mailboxes with imapsync. I was thinking about a cron job to sync all accounts daily, but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to do it. Will IMAP connector delete messages on nethserver, if they’ve been accidentally deleted from ISP’s webmail?
I need to save, 3-4 times a day, sent and received mails.

I used to have a cron job with imapsync.

Only if you enable the delete option when configuring the IMAP connector.

If what you want is to get a mail archive you can take a look at piler.
