I have access to old root partition, how can I recover my system using a fresh NS7 install?

This is a parallel thread to this:
SERIOUS PROBLEM - VM starts but NS7 doesn’t! - Support - NethServer Community
…as it is looking more and more probably that I will not be able to fix existing NS7 setup!

Again: NS7 was working for years in a KVM ennvironment (UNRAID). Now it doesn’t boot (see screenshot in other thread) and I cannot even go to rescue mode and do something.

So, since I CAN mount the actual qcow2 image (and lvm partitions) of the broken NS7 in my host and see the contents, is there a process I can follow to:

  1. Setup a clean NS7 and shut it down.
  2. Sync everything from my old NS7, but NOT the things that break the boot.
  3. Boot new NS7 in place and expect to have everything running (same IP, mailboxes working etc.).

Now the whole thing is #2 of course. What exactly do I need to copy from old VolGroup-lv_root partition to the new one and actually recover my whole setup? What do I need to leave out, so that I don’t break booting again?

Please help, this is my last hope.

EDIT: NOTE the issue is kind of resolved (see original thread), but this question of this thread remains!
We need to know, in case we do a fresh NS7 install and have access to old root partition files, WHAT needs to be copied, what needs to be NOT copied.

Why don’t restore a backup?
It worked smootly every time i needed
