I can’t add two users in a shared folder with file server (samba) nethserver 7.9.
I have an AD with WinServer 2012, I set up a file server (samba) on a nethserver 7.9, when I create a shared folder on the web interface, it only allows me to select one group as the owner of the folder, I need to add more than two groups .
To my knowledge, a windows (samba) ACL can have only one AD object registered as the share owner.
The best practice is: create a group and set this group to be the owner of the share and add user/groups that need access to this new group. And add groups for RW or R access if you need to.
If you start typing in the ACL box in the shared folders app in Nethservers cockpit, you can add the additional objects (users/groups) for RW or R access.
You can also use a winpro/winserver machine and access the share with a share/server/domain admin account and use the windows ACL advanced security tab.
