I am a zabbix-newbie and looking for a way to monitor a few Nethserver with zabbix via SSH connection… I think it should be possible to install the zabbix-agent2 and configure it in passive mode and trigger checks over SSH?
Any suggestions, links, howtos to do this?
Why ssh ?
Passive check are good for servers, active check are good for laptops or computers that are not on your network
If you simply want to protect the connection then you can encrypt with a psk key, like this you say to zabbix-agent, talk only with this host and encrypt the data with a psk
