Howto configure Snappy-Mail

NethServer Version: 8
Module: nextcloud
Helo, again,
After migration NS7 >> NS8 we startet nextcloud on NS8. All our apps we had to deactivated and install/activated once again. After that we tried to start snappy-mail
but the answer is:

Serververbindung kann nicht hergestellt werden
Server-Nachricht: Can't connect to host "tcp://localhost:143"

What’s to do ??

Please test the connection with the fqdn of the mailinstanz from your server.

Regards…

Uwe

Indeed, NextCloud and Mailserver on NS7 were “the same host”.
In NS8 are different hosts (actually containers) and can be (AFAIK and currently) reached only via FDQN.
I hope that if there’s 2FA authentication this is not messed up with migration…

Thanks,

… never used 2FA
we understand - but WHERE could we change the FDQN for snappy-mail ?
sogo has no problem - we could send and get mails …
But Nextcloud is the most useds app on the road …

In the snappymail admin panel edit the domain nextcloud and use the Nextcloud hostname instead of localhost:

Good morning and thank you,
… nice to see the snappy-mail admin page… but we get the error message when trying to login - that’s why we cannot see snappy admin page …

Oh ! Excuse me very much … I found the admin page deep down in the nextcloud menu … I never needed it in NS7
After configuration of SMTP and IMAP it looks better
