I have taken a full backup of emails from a NethServer mail server.
The emails are stored in MBOX format.
I have now migrated to Microsoft Office 365 and want to move these emails into my Office 365 mailboxes.
Since Office 365 does not support direct MBOX imports, what is the correct way to migrate MBOX data from NethServer to Office 365?
If you have taken an email backup from NethServer in MBOX format and now want to move this data to Microsoft Office 365, a direct upload is not possible because Office 365 does not support MBOX files. The migration must be performed externally. In practice, MBOX data is first processed using an RecoveryTools MBOX migration tool to convert it into an Office 365–supported format such as PST. Once converted, the data can be imported into Office 365 using Microsoft’s native PST ingestion methods. This approach is commonly used when the original mail server is no longer available.
