How to setup up website on Nethserver 7 Beta 2

How many of you have switched/migrated from SME Server?

Continuing the discussion from Introducing new members on community - 9 Nov 15: Taking inspiration from this, I’m just wondering how many of you have successfully switched/migrated from SME How many of you are SME Server administrators? If not, why? What kind of challenges are you facing in migrating? What problems are currently preventing the migration? I installed 7 beta 2 yesterday and I can make everything work as I need except the “ibays”. I thought that the shared folder function was the same as the SMESERVER concept of the ibay but that does not seem to be the case.

We have discussed it extensively before change this behaviour, eventually we have chosen to improve each part separately. Take a look:

Proposal for ns7 VirtualHost page

I think the stupid here is our UI and we shall improve it! This is my proposal for ns7. Let’s create a new page, say Virtual hosts. Generally, a virtual host requires a DNS record, and the right place to set it up by now is under the DNS > Alias server page. Virtual hosts lists the same items of DNS > Alias server, and could also allow creating a new one. I think it is more intuitive to allow both methods of creation.
