I have tried to find in the forum, but all references is to NS7. I would like to know how to correctly edit smb.conf file in NS8 to include ldap server require strong auth = no in [global] parameter?

Thanks. I am looking into that, but I did not understand how to use include.conf to insert a parameter in [global] section. Is it possible to create a new [global] section inside the include?

The include.conf file is included in the global section (see smb.conf) so you can just start using global parameters.

Yes, that’s possible but not needed.
