Actually the same street, so a group meeting is always an opportunity for a small walk.
I have no idea nor willing to have any kind of analysys about what’s gonna change for NethServer 8 and NethSecurity 8. I also have no idea about the confidentiality of the information before the acquisition.
Neverthless, in more than 3 months after going public this is the first post which reports it.
This is not a request for comment, the joke was not funny since deflection and no admission, this is only “the last one” yet.
And an important one, since we all know (indeed RH and many acquisitions) what this can do to OS projects. Some guarantees about NS8/x and NethSec8/x would be in order.
The fact that your report is the first one, could well be that they have chosen to publish the announcement as a picture rather than text. Maybe trick search engines and SEO? If so, why the secrecy?
The good thing for Nethesis is is that they now have access to the 1650+ partner channel/ecosystem throughout Italy of Zucchetti. They only seem to focus on Italy.

This is not secret at all, public available information after the deal was sealed.
However never was reported here from people who role is to make announcements in almost 100 days after public knowledge or more than two weeks after holiday ending (which mostly is in Italy the end of august).
Why that happened? IDK and honestly not my role provide answers.
We would’ve informed you all IF a change of this magnitude were to happen, however, for us nothing changed
Without entering the whole dilemma on how things worked, we were part of Ranocchi Group, but not owned by them.
Here in office we all looked at the unfolding of the events but we were all about “what was going to happen to them”, not to us, we’re a company that literally has parallel scopes and products to the ones of the Ranocchi Group.
We’ve already issued a clarification post to the Italian partners channel (mainly because journalists were basically all over the place with the info, and we’ve issued a clarification post ) I think we’ve never thought to do that here because the info was mainly spread over here in Italy, not abroad. I think it’s fine if you want an official statement here
Some shares of Nethesis was owned by a company called Ranocchi since 2003. Now the same share is held by another company, Zucchetti, which bought Ranocchi, not Nethesis. It’s not our owner at all.
For the rest, nothing changes at Nethesis, absolutely nothing, don’t worry. The direction doesn’t change. And It won’t change in the future. We have just a good partner to work with.
