Another option:
First of all, before working on partitions/volumes…, take a backup.

A simple example with a single disk (installed on bare-metal or on a simple VM):

1. if /home is empty (no user’s data): from cockpit open System > Storage; Choose /home volume; delete it.
2. from cockpit open System > Storage; Choose /root volume; Grow volume space.
3. reboot
4. check /home is present and accessible on the root volume
