Exclude from backup

Hi,

is there any option to exclude folders from data backup? in Some cases I do not need / want a backup of all folders. e.g. in my case I use a some hdd backup routines on a laptop (based on acronis image). The backup file is stored to a share e.g. /var/lib/nethserver/ibay/machine_images

These files are very large and there is no need to include them within the backup routine.

Yes, this is no problem, please see the following:

If you wish to exclude a file or directory from data backup, add a line to the file

/etc/backup-data.d/custom.exclude
