hello @stephdl as you are already currently workin on ejabberd.
could you kindly add those matrix specific environments and or config elements, as discussed here MAtrix Support in Ejabberd 24.02 - #3 by oneitonitram
I am not aware of possible bugs, issues, and security concerns that it could add. Ejabberd is used as the webtop official chat so since it is an official module, I would say it is a show stopper
As I have stated in the past
- fork of the official and become ns8-ejabberd-next
- create a modularity of the yaml configuration file and let people breaks things alone
i thought in a previous conversation in the forum, we are trying to avoid apps that have different non related versions.
I doubt this will introduce any breakages, and i am willing to dedicate the necessary resources to thoroughly test. it will be great to have supported in the official.

How to login on the admin page? The documentation says nothing (or I do not understand, most likely 
) about it, or explain.
Install an account provider domain.org
Install ejabberd
Set a vhost domain.org
Enable the toggle of the administrative page
Set a user like administrator@domain.org
Save
Go to the administrative page
BTW: is it now possible to set up a vhost without subdomain?
yes but obviously your login to authenticate will be : user@sub.domain.com

where in settings I have set a user like admin@demo.local
But what password? The admin password of the ldap admin does not work.
you have to use the full name
