Module: Samba or so
Hey guys, i struggle the whole time with the DNS system of the NS8 and, how i guess, u r not able to help… how i asked in different other situations. Maybe it could be more clear if i per example describe the situation. i have to do the dns of the NS8 first with the DHCP Informations because otherwise the activ directory dont work as it should. The Syntax from the Samba DNS is per example device.ad.domain.de on the Pihole, what is my normal local DNS i put also devices but without the ad in between. so first question. is it a problem? because of two diffent syntaxes ? Is it possible to setup the samba and having the syntax without the ad in between? is there somewhere a possibility to forward dns queeries to the pihole? so that i dont need the devices from the network in the Samba dns? i would love to use the samba just as a dc for getting the user connections done.
