Today I write to you with a heavy heart to share a very difficult moment in my life and to express my deepest gratitude. This great community has not only been a space for technical collaboration, but also a refuge and an invaluable escape during my most stressful times.
I recently underwent surgery due to ulcer complications, and doctors have detected early-stage cancer. This Friday I will be undergoing a bone marrow biopsy to determine the next steps for my chemotherapy treatments. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for the support provided; every bit of help received has allowed me to cover essential medical tests and basic food for my family. A very special thank you to that angel within this community who made it possible for me to undergo this procedure.
Although I still have many medical and personal expenses left to cover, I am placing everything in God’s hands, trusting in His guidance and provision as I move forward.
As a foreigner, I have learned the true value of solidarity. I ask you with all my heart to never turn your backs on a brother in need; in my nature, there have never been limitations when it comes to helping others, and it comforts me to see that same spirit here.
Despite closing this chapter and having requested Alessio to revoke my access to the community, I will continue working—as long as my strength allows—on developing apps for you and keeping my repositories updated as a legacy of my gratitude.
Thank you for every opportunity, for the learning, and for the kindness. May God bless you all.
With sincere love,
José
