Use versioning of ownCloud for Shared Folder (Samba)

I have the following scenario: I have shared folder configured and I can see the shared folder in ownCloud thorugh External Storage Support. When somebody changes a document in ownCloud in this folder, then ownCloud saves the old version of the document. I would like this to happen also when someone changes a document in the shared folder directly (through the net drive).
