Creating a floating IP with nethserver as gateway

Hi there,

I am trying to create a 2 nodes cluster with floating IP using Nethserver as gateway. My setup should look similar like in the image (NS gateway not shown). With a regular consumer grade router, I am able to set a static IP address as floating IP (virtual IP), but this is not working with NS gateway. I cannot use IP reservation as I don’t have a mac address for the virtual IP.

Any idea on how I can achieve this ?

I don’t understand what you’re trying to achieve.
Is it something like this http://tecadmin.net/ip-failover-setup-using-keepalived-on-centos-redhat-6/ ?

Thank you @giacomo
I am trying to achieve HA following this guide http://www.elastix.com/en/elastix-high-availability-in-detail-2/

The virtual IP is handled by the cluster software and you don’t need to configure it in the system.
By the way, this kind of configurations are not a target for NethServer (at least for now! :D).

Got it, thank you very much for your help.
