Here in MĂ©xico, these news come from Europe and the United Kingdom(*I meant Germany) about stopping the application of this vaccine. And of course, there is no way to confirm unless a local friend does it.

No VAX will protect against future mutations of CoronaâŠ
And a lot of european countries have limited the use of AstraZeneca. However - VERY controvercially! Some countries say no AstraZeneca for people over 60, some only for people over 60. Some say only for younger than 60âŠ
AFAIK, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and others have strict limits on the usage of AstraZenecaâŠ

Thatâs what the EMA (European Medicines Agency) has concluded yes. They also said that it is extremely rare. (86 cases from 25 million people vacinated with AZ vaccine)

And they did not stop the AZ vaccination effort. Only for people younger than 60 years. At least, here in the Netherlands. Other countries can have other policies.
BTW, also the Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine has reported cases of blood clotting.

Yes like others said there is a rare chance to get them. In Germany they say, the most where women younger than 60 years. They stopped it for some days two times and now only people older 60 years do get it.
Data I read on some internet news sites are reporting less than 100 cases compared to 25 million shots provided to people.
Feel free do double and triple check for better sources.
I think the EMA can be considered a reliable source and they confirmed this.

What happened? For whomâs not familiar with the âterritorial arrangementâ of Italy, the bigger âdistrictâ of our nation is called âRegioneâ. Which is âsimilarâ to a german Land/Lander, but without the same independence about laws and money spending, except 5 (which are called âa Statuto Speciale/special statuteâ, that have more control about taxes payed from people of the regione).
One of the âtasksâ of the Regione is to manage health services, including hospitals, clinics, practice and⊠vaccination process. Central government buys doses and delivers that via Army to the places where are administered. Care of the regional Health Service is⊠make the service run, and collect reservations.
Long story short: some cybercriminals managed to succesfully attack the Health Services of one region, Lazio (the one with Rome), the IT system (including vaccines, medical exam, imaging reservations system, but not only). The updated raised during Sunday, but more details were provided during Mondayâs afternoon. IDK if some âfunny personâ related to no-vax movement is involved (iâm personally hoping not, because this kind of approach will lead only to anger, rage and not civil reactions) but in any case, during this period, this attack is one of the most shameful human act.
The other thing that makes my rage going ballistic is that a lot of information medias (including alleged specialized ones) is calling this event âHacker Attackâ.
This criminal attack (In my delusional and reality-distant mind) is no related to anyone which healthy considers him/herself an hacker.
Hackers look for knowledge, fun, challenge, the thrill to beat an opponent into a race. Can hackers create problems? Yes. Stupid, annoying but short and IMVHO mostly for generate embarassment and shame. Anyone whoâs putting ransomware into health services during these days of contagion increase and vaccination campain is a criminal without respect of other people.
Italy is still providing the option to vaccinate, and Digital Green Certificate should become mandatory for quite a number of activities and place access. Vaccination is the fastest, cheaper and simplest way to get a DGC, but not the only one (FWIW, I am vaccinated and i hope everyone i know is/will be vaccinated soon, but still respect which disagree with my opinion).
My hope that anyone who asked, cooperated and acted for this attack will be individuated, arrested and put into social labor for use lot of their time to help people.
And that most allegedly journalists which used the word âhackerâ for this kind of criminal act will be educated of differences about criminals, crackers, and hackers. But in hard and unsatisfying way that make them remember for the rest of their lifes.

Well⊠seems that âomicronâ became the new hotword for latest weeks.
Italy seems in a slightly better situation than other countries, but the situation is still in development (kinda +100k contagion cases during last 4 days)
Anyway, government choose to not allow transit to Italy without a âno contagion swabâ older than 24 hours before the border/airport.
UE was not pleased for that, but other european countries made the same decision few days later.
The âwonderfulâ thing about the situation is that people are not âthat muchâ into hospitals/ICUs.
This lead anyway to 4 âyellow zoneâ regions (less freedom to do things, but not that restrictive) and few others (4 to 6) with hospitals/ICUs numbers close to enable the âyellow zoneâ restrictions. Itâs gonna be a ânot that niceâ Christmas, but anyway far less restriction than the 2020.
Being cautions and take care is still the most important thing to do. Swabs, vaccines, masks, gels for hygene are not invincible armours, but only a way do reduce risk.
As having a public server, you cannot feel yourself invincible only because you have do something for avoiding worst issues. Ed Murphy said few decades ago.
What can go wrong may go wrong

Over here in the Netherlands we are facing a hard lockdown for x-mas untill at least januari 14th. All shops like restaurants, sportschools, saunaâs etc (except essential shops like supermarkets/food and pharmacies) are closed. All organised sports activities are closed. Only professional sports competition are going through, but without audience.
Itâs quite a mess and it will be a very cold and lonely x-mas here this yearâŠ

Today new cases of infection of COVID19 in Italy reached more than 36k. This is the fourth biggest value since data publishing, at the end of february 2020. Top number is a bit less than 41k new cases, mid november 2020.
Italian data also declares number of active cases, which now is close to 405k.Highest count was 805k, late november 2020.
Still⊠there are quite differences.
I am sorry, I have no sources for these graphics in english, but this graphic is about the hospitalized persons since vaccination campaign started, date reported is 27/12/2020.
Light blue bars represent the number of hospitalized persons, darker blue ones are referred to people in ICU.
26/02/2021 has a similar number of active cases, (403k today, 405k 26/02), but the numbers of people are quite different.
Today 1010 persons in ICUs (2200 26/02)
Today ~8500 persons in hospital with symptons (~18000 26/02)
Today ~9500 total persons in hospitals (~20500 26/02).
I have no knowledge, insides, skill or education prove this data is forged or wrong. I can guess that maybe a lot of people has not been swabbed yet, so there might be a greater number of persons carrying virus.
And I cannot provide confirmed reasons why the data are so different, currently, for the less lucky persons that need medical support into hospital, instead that self-isolation.
A lot of persons that i know are tired, pissed, stressed out of the situation. They say they need âfreedomâ to do âwhatever it takesâ (cit., more or less) to feel themselves alive. My answer is that the race against infection itâs no sprint, no mid-distance, not even a marathon. The race seems more like a five round of IronMan. So 4km of swim, 185km of bike, 42.5 km of running. Than⊠start again till 5 times.
Because it wonât end at the reduction of the infectionsâŠ
Some mutations will appear again, if we are lucky enough the variations wonât spread enough to become VOC (Variants of concern). Some nations will develop again spreading infections.
And at the end of the pandemic, world will be a little more stress than it was before, with so many politicians looking for became more powerful them and their country. The not-so-smooth peace established after WWII is at peril now, and pandemic is one of the three Parcae planning to make it disappear; greed and anger are the other two.
So⊠keep your chill, keep distance, donât give up.
