Great work! Tested with a LAN connection and the IP was there after booting the image the first time and after reboot nethserver-init worked as expected. There were no errors in /var/log/messages. [grafik] Firefox refused to connect to the new server manager because of an old certificate. (it works with Chrome) [grafik] After editing the self signed certificate to renew it, it was not applied, even after logoff/logon. I needed to restart cockpit.

@mrmarkuz reported the default self-signed certificate expired in 1979.
I never could reproduce the the issue and blamed it on a racy-condition at system-init between getting a time from a ntp server (this was in a raspberry PI so no RTC) and the creation of the certificate.

However now I am curios what expiration date of the default self-signed certificate on your systems is
