Depending on your Internet connection, clamav-db RPM could be a “big” (86MB): could it be a proxy timeout or any other network issue?
Does anyone have the same problem?
I’m having issues installation hangs on yum clamav install, did it happen to any of you?

clam-av and initernet… You going to need a super fast internet and slow on Clam on processing!

adsl speed show 2.5mbps, other packages download ok, its just clamav that fails, any ideas?

The issue may come that there are no mirror repositories for neth and for a huge rpm like this it is difficult to do a download during a lot of time…mainly I believe that you live in south america and the distance can make easily the issue.
For testing purpose you can download and install clamav and its dependencies from epel and after do a ‘yum update’
In other hand it is maybe time to ask about mirrors to the community.

installed from epel repo with no problems.

Erratum sorry, the size is around 1.1 giga, thousand less 
Finally i was able to install clamav after trying for nearly a week it
downloaded.

Ahh, 1.1 GiB is natta, can’t promise high speed but 10/20Mbps be good enough? Although, if most folks are in EU, there will be decent latency.
