ClamAV changes on 7

I’m working on the nethserver-mail-filter package and I’m trying to figure out how to port ClamAV configurations to ns7.

Config files for el7 seem like expecting separate instances of clamd, one for each service. Amavisd comes with its .conf:

/etc/clamd.d/amavisd.conf

It seems a common practice, i.e. squidclamav: http://www.server-world.info/en/note?os=CentOS_7&p=squid&f=5

changing the amavis and squid configuration should not be a big effort, but I’m concerned of virus signatures management (file ownership, update policy, different signatures DB for different services). It seems there is much work on this side.

Please, I need your thoughts to go on with amavis.

Why? I don’t get it at all.
Can we just leave the implementation of this part inside nethserver-antivirus package?

Yes, we can but I think it’s not like ClamAV.el7 service is expected to work.

I don’t know very well the antivirus package, but I suggest the simplest solution: modify the implementation only if necessary.

Hi guys,

Any news regarding antivirus on NS 7 as File Server ( File Server Antivirus)?

Or, there is any third-party solution?

TIA,
Gabriel

Not really :frowning:
