CentOS and NethServer 7.8.2003 testing release

after rhel 7.8 rel

it seems that CR repos for l 7.8.2003 are populated for all supported platforms…

Now 7.8.2003 is served by mirrorlist.nethserver.org.

  1. It is possible to upgrade a 7.7 to the development version of 7.8 with the following commands

    yum update --enablerepo=nethserver-testing nethserver-subscription
    signal-event software-repos-upgrade
    
  1. It is possible to install nethserver 7.8.2003 (development) on CentOS 7.8 minimal (not tested)

    yum install -y http://packages.nethserver.org/nethserver/7.8.2003/testing/x86_64/Packages/nethserver-release-7-16.1.g167ab8b.ns7.noarch.rpm
    nethserver-install

great :raised_hands: tested on

  • clean and updated ns7.7 install : ok
  • clean and updated ns7.7 install with mattermost : ok
  • clean and updated c7.8: install ok
    only the already know motd warning on cockpit and “cockpit-session: pam_ssh_add: Failed adding some keys” that i think is related to certificate…

tomorrow i will do some more test on ns7 with some modules installed…

New commands are

yum update --enablerepo=nethserver-testing nethserver-subscription
signal-event software-repos-upgrade

The template-custom is not required any more.

been running ns 7.8 heavily for the past 15 hours and it works great.
