Hi Dev-Team,
I know from Mailcow that you can assign a one-time password for other programmes that access the server. Similar to Nextcloud. Is there something similar for the NS8 mail instance?

I would like to echo this feature request. I have a need to implement MFA. We presently only use NS8 for Mail (including Roundcube and SOGo). Our external email client of choice is Thunderbird, so the MFA solution would need to compatible. I think that means OAuth2?
It’s been over a month since I asked. And still no response from the developers. That says something…
Maybe it helps copying in @davidep But I agree, feature request posts could deserve some more attention and follow up.
Sorry for no response. It’s on my todo list but I have no solution yet, maybe the tool presented here could work but needs to be tested.
Unfortunately this stuff isn’t that simple to implement.
I confirm there are no plans milestone 8.7. I can only say that Mail is receiving many feature requests from users and I’m following the discussions. There’s growing interest in integration with centralized authentication systems (such as Authentik or Keycloak), but nothing has been scheduled yet.
