Maybe I can help, as no one else anwsered so far.
I do know firewalls well, but I do not use the NethServer firewall, I use a separate box with OPNsense firewall. Then again, TCP/IP is the same, no matter if you use Mac, Windows, Linux or even Android.
But let me ask what would like to achieve with your firewall? Out of the box all access from inside to outside is allowed. Incoming ports, like to access your Nethserver from outside is normally not allowed, unless you open up port(s)…
