NethServer Hotsync [Needs Testing]

HotSync is a set of scripts that leverage NethServer backup to copy a snapshot of a NethServer over another one every 15 minutes. In case of a disaster, it’s possible to promote slave to master in a few minutes. We call it “Poor men HA”. It was used few times in production for the enterprise, and AFAIK it works quite well. I tried joining NS samba to Windows AD as DC, which will replicate AD but no sysvolrep and has to be tested:

Hello, i tested joining Nethserver/NSDC to a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard and at least the joins worked. I used https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Samba_DC_to_an_Existing_Active_Directory as a starting point. I setup a new domain admin called superuser to make the joins.
