The log doesn’t show the relevant part, but of course you have serious problems on your storage.

Please post the output of:
grep FAIL /var/log/messages

(Rhys Hazell) #4

so it looks like its mysql

(Giacomo Sanchietti) #5

Yes, also the USB disk has problems during mount.

You should find more info inside the logs, otherwise you can try to execute manually the actions and see what is wrong.

Usually MySQL fails to dump the DB when there are errors in the table: probably it can’t acquire some locks because of bad blocks in the hard disk.

(Rhys Hazell) #6

anyway to back email and owncloud data then for new hard drive if i cant dump the tables

(Dan) #7

That’s usually too late to do the backup–before the drive dies (or starts exhibiting notable symptoms of imminent death) is the time to do that.

The Nextcloud data itself is in /var/lib/nethserver/nextcloud. You might be able to import the data into a new installation by treating it as external storage, but Nextcloud is kind of tricky that way. I migrated from Nextcloud on an old SME server to Nextcloud on a new Neth server, but the method I used involved a lot of work with the database.
