Backup-clean-files: line 48: [: *: integer expression expected

Hi,

I did a yum update yesterday and this night i received an email stating the following :

From: “(Cron Daemon)” <>

Subject: Cron root@cloud /sbin/e-smith/backup-data-wrapper backup-data

Date: 29 August 2019 at 03:06:05 GMT+2

To: root@xxx

/etc/backup-data.hooks/backup-clean-files: line 48: [: *: integer expression expected

The backup (restic to NFS) succeeded however.

Bug ?

Seems to me… let’s see if @giacomo can figure out something.

Think you don’t need it anymore, but here it is:

[root@groupware ~]# db backups show
backup-data=duplicity
    BackupTime=35 9 * * *
    CleanupOlderThan=56D
    FullDay=0
    NFSHost=
    NFSShare=
    Notify=error
    NotifyFrom=
    NotifyTo=root@localhost
    SMBHost=FileServerIP
    SMBLogin=administrator,domain=MyDomain
    SMBPassword=MyPassword
    SMBShare=Backup$
    Type=incremental
    USBLabel=
    VFSType=cifs
    VolSize=250
    WebDAVLogin=
    WebDAVPassword=
    WebDAVUrl=
    status=enabled

Of course I’ve changed values for Password, IP and Domain

Thank you @m.traeumner.

In the meanwhile @edoardo_spadoni reproduced and fixed the issue :slight_smile:
I already tested the fix, and I do not see any warning anymore.

I’ve got this error only one times, before 2 days. Backup works every day.
