Allow user to send mail with different IPs while force login/sender is enabled

Hi all,

I was wondering if is there any way to allow my user to send emails with different from while the force login/sender is enabled.
My current setup consist of some e-mails addresses being terminated to a folder that I can only see. And this is fine but at the moment I can’t send out e-mails with the e-mail address of the folders.
Any way I can patch the setup? Allowing my user to bypass the login-sender check would be acceptable if there’s no other solution.

Thanks!
Marco

hi @mmaridev,

Sorry it is not clear to me what you want yo do…

do you mean if the default email address of user would be user@mydomain .com and you want users to be able to send from user@ohterdomain .com?

I do not understand this…

Hi @mark_nl ,

alright. Let me try to explain myself better.
Let’s say I have a user in NethServer with his own mailbox: user@domain.tld
This user can read emails to folder1@domain.tld since this emails are sent to a shared (“Public”) folder but he can’t reply since Postfix would say that the address is not owned by the sender.

Hope is clear now.
Best,

I think so, Your question basally is:

Can a user who has access to a public folder send/reply emails with a “from” of the email-address of the public folder?

Not a Nethserver-Mail user myself, hope someone else has an answer for you

AFAIK, webtop allows to send emails using a public folder as From: .
