I was delighted to see that Matrix is available via the Software Center and tried it out right away. It makes a really good impression. But where can I configure administrative settings such as the mail server configuration?

But normally, I always have the settings for notifications set to “One instance of the mail app.” Shouldn’t that work too?

Hmm… Emails don’t seem to be sending.
I tried entering my email address in the settings under personal data. It says that I will receive an email with further steps and instructions at the email address I entered, but the email hasn’t arrived. And there’s nothing in the mail app’s log either.
And when I simulate forgetting my password and then enter the email address of the user in question, I get a message saying that the email address cannot be found.
Thanks, you found a bug, it’s not working when the mail server instance option is set.
Usually you need to add a mail address in the Element settings to be able to send a password reset mail…
…but the notification only works when it’s set to “Manual configuration” in the NS8 notificaton settings.

Do i have to install NethVoice to be able to use Matrix fully? Video calls also work without NethVoice.
No but in future Matrix will be the chat system of NethVoice.

Yeah It will be abandoned for the nethesis one

Sending mails via the mail instance should work with testing version 0.0.2-dev.2.
It can be updated via Software Center or on CLI:
api-cli run update-module --data '{"module_url":"ghcr.io/nethserver/matrix:0.0.2-dev.2","instances":["matrix1"]}'
