What distinguishes LDAP and Active Directory, if you want to make many users with different domains choose which one?

If you need to create users to use only mail server and applications you can use LDAP. If you need also to create shared folders with permissions choose Active Directory.
If you believe that LDAP can grow and you will need to create shared folders with permissions, I suggest you to choose Active Directory.

One NethServer installation for N organizations?

Continuing the discussion from Multi-Domain/Multi-Tenat Groupware: NethServer is designed to serve a single organization with one or more domains (mail domains, web virtual hosts, etc…). It is not designed to manage multiple organizations like service providers do with multi-tenant applications.

Can we not make 2 different user domains at Nethserver, have many server services been able to do many different domain users?

It is possible to configure many mail domains (a company can have many of them), but all user accounts belong to just one accounts domain (the company itself).

{ mail1.com, mail2.com, accountsdomain.com } => { accountsdomain.com }
