Optimal HDD partitions for email/file server?

Hello everybody!

I have a server with 2 x 1T HDDs.
In the next 4 months I intend to make an upgrade with another 2 x 2(3)T HDDs.

Which is the optimal configuration using RAID 1 (number of partitions, size of partitions), for an email/file server starting from two HDDs and extend later with another two HDDs?

It’s ok how NS make the partitioning?

I read a lot of articles and I’m confuse.

Interesting question…the folder for storing ibays/users is /var/lib/nethserver. I guess that /var should have its own partition.

For a server i use around 20g/30g for the / and the rest for /var
