Hi @hazell20
If I understand, you must add the domain to be used in the “Email” -> “Domain” and create aliases in “Email address” -> “Mail aliases”

Are you using webtop or SOGo?

I’m using Sogo for Activesync

anyone have any more ideas on this please.

thank you

So you need to add a custom email address to activesync by SOGo, right?
@giordy @Pascal_Michard @andreadb @mark_nl @GOB @kisaacs @hucky @asl @transocean @wclemo @m.traeumner did you test such scenario?

this should work without problems. You need:

  1. set up the email domain
  2. create a user or use an existing
  3. create the corresponding email alias if the user is from a different domain
  4. open sogo and change email address under imap settings if needed.
  5. setup mobile device to sync with

Login to sogo and choose mail view.
What can be seen on top of left area? I have attached my situation for cross check. My user was set up in domain intern.org, but my maildomain (set by alias) is different.

What is yours?

the custom email address i have setup

both the same?

no different

that looks correct and I assume a similar setup as I did. What about the sogo Log?

/var/log/sogo/sogo.log

try to send something and see what the log will show up

192.168.1.3 “POST /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User=hazellk%40rhit.com.au&DeviceId=androidc897248323&DeviceType=Android HTTP/1.1” 200 0/80 0.425 - - 0

similar to mine, but I’m missing the mail size (maybe yours was small):

Mar 16 13:37:49 sogod [4273]: 192.168.50.1 "POST /SOGo/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?User=schloegl@intern.org&DeviceId=D9COF78M0P2A3AKTF7LB64DMS0&DeviceType=iPhone&Cmd=SmartReply HTTP/1.1" 200 0/2328 0.921 - - 152K

now go and see what’s inside /var/log/maillog at the time you sent your mail from the mobile device. There should be a lot…
