can it run in virtual enviroment like vmware esxi or citrix xen server or virtualbox as testing enviroments?
i tried it on virtualbox and no luck to install it.

You can even install it on esx, kvm or xen 
I run it on Hyper-V in multiple environments (Gen1-VM)
Some howtos for ESX and Hyper-V would be super helpful for newcomers.
I ran it successfully in VirtualBox while I was evaluating the current version before committing it to bare metal.
And I’m running the Alpha in ESXi.
What issue did you run into. If you describe it, then perhaps we can help.

I installed it on esxi and virtualbox . no problem.
For 64bit version must be active on the bios (real machine) Intel Virtualization Technology ( vt-x ) and amd-v

Screenshots of the steps to install Nethserver 6.7 using ESXi (using vSphere Client on OS X 10.11 - with the assistance of CodeWeavers CrossOver/Wine since the vSphere Client is only available for Windows). Those running a Windows system can disregard the OS X window frames the content of the windows are what matters!:
First of all, select the host you will use for Nethserver and click the menu File - New - Virtual Machine . . ..

Select Custom and click Next.

Enter the the name for your Virtual Machine and click Next.

Select the datastore you want to use to store the VM’s files and click Next.

Select the most recent virtual Machine Version (in my case 8) supported by your ESXi host and click Next.

Select Linux and version CentOS 4/5/6/7 (64-bit) and click Next.

No changes needed, click Next.

Set amount of memory (my production server has 5GB allocated and click Next.

Accept the default settings, click Next.

Accept the default setting, click Next.

Select create new virtual disk and click Next.

Adjust the disk size to your liking and click Next.

Almost finished but, click Edit the virtual machine before completion and click Continue.

Select New CD/DVD, select the location of the downloaded Nethserver ISO file. In my case it is in a Datastore on the host, so I select Datastore ISO File and click Browse.

Select the previously downloaded Nethserver ISO file, make sure connect at power on is selected and click OK.

Click Finish.
Your VM is now ready to be booted for installation.

Start the VM (in my case using VMWare Fusion for Mac and open the console. No actions needed Nethserver automatically boots into the interactive install.

Using the console you can now follow the regular installation instructions.

Noticed an error in Step 14. Is corrected in my earlier post.
