What's the advantage of NS8 clustering?

If one has a small infra, and there’s already an existing hypervisor cluster with HA and replication, what’s the point of clustering NS8?
One NS8 with samba and NCloud. One NS8 with ldap and mail server.

What happens if you NS8 cluster a mail server based on ldap and a ncloud install based on ad?

AFAIK, you can’t join a cluster with a “loaded” NS8.
NS8 can run an AD in the cluster, and several LDAP.
It will work, as expected.
But you will have to maintain parallel accounts.

My 2 cents

But what’s the point?
In this case I would spin up another node, join it to the cluster and then see what happens with migration of the ldap mail server to the 2nd node but… I don’t see the advantage.

The only advantage i see is for those who want several LDAP servers for diferent uses. These could be different clients etc.

LDAP replication also works. (Redundancy).
